I can’t tell you guys how excited I am about this remodel! We have been talking about it for years and it’s finally happening!! The wall that separated our living room and kitchen didn’t go all the way up to the ceiling so we decided to tear part of it down and turn it into an island. Our kitchen doesn’t have much cupboard or counter top space so this extra bit is going to be wonderful!!
Before:
Brent and his dad started tearing down the wall early Friday morning and things are coming along pretty good. All the electrical is hooked back up (which Brent pointed that since it’s been 24 hours and the house hadn’t burnt down he must have hooked it all back up correctly. haha!!) and the floor is going down Tuesday and Wednesday!!

Lots more to do but I can finally start to picture what it’s going to look like!!! Stop back tomorrow for some soft and chewy deliciousness!

Looks great so far! I can’t wait to see the finished product! It looks so much better without the wall! I love open floorplans! I can’t wait until we stay in one place for more than a few years and can finally own a home!
